Day 8: Proverbs 8

Summary:

From the moment we open our Bible and read the very first sentence of Genesis 1, we are shown the wonder of God, and in Proverbs 8, Solomon speaks even more profoundly of God’s perfection by telling his students—us—that even before there was a heaven or an earth, there was wisdom. God uses wisdom and knowledge to bring order to chaos, and He gives both to us freely so we will earn favor in His sight. Obedience to God from an early age is key to growing in the knowledge of God, which is the most valuable treasure that we will ever attain. It is how we will earn eternal life in Heaven, and as we work diligently toward that reward, we will find great joy in knowing the Lord!
